Intergroup Global Forwarding would like to inform our clients of a significant change in the legalization process for Arab-British Certificates of Origin (COs) and invoices destined for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Effective immediately, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has implemented a new electronic legalization platform. This platform is exclusively accessible to the consignee in the UAE and allows for the digital attestation of documents related to goods being imported into the country.
Key Changes:
Digital Attestation: COs and invoices will now be processed as certification only. The responsibility for legalizing these documents will shift to the consignee in the UAE, who must use the new electronic platform.
Unchanged Process for Other Documents: The legalization process for other types of documents remains unchanged and will continue to include both certification and legalization.
Intergroup Global Forwarding's Commitment
